One of Randstad’s major goals is to find and retain talent. We are not bound by race, gender, cultural background, religion, preferences or physical appearance. Female talent is one of the groups we focus on.

As a result of signing the Charter “Talent to the Top”, the major Dutch operating companies have made commitments as to how many women they will appoint in management positions. LEAP is one of the initiatives we use to achieve this. Our largest three operating companies in the Netherlands are involved in LEAP.

Successful initiatives

Many successful initiatives have already been kicked-off to increase the number of women in management positions. The MD program of Randstad the Netherlands focuses on increasing awareness of male and female leadership styles in order to make better-balanced decisions when a vacancy opens up.

In a survey held in Libelle magazine in April 2009, Tempo-Team scored a 7.8 on “How female-friendly are Dutch companies?” – one of the highest scores to date on this topic. The review specifically mentioned the development & growth opportunities.

At Yacht, now the rule is: always have at least one male and female candidate for any management vacancy. Yacht also organizes discussions with female senior managers about personal ambitions and current barriers to reaching these ambitions.
